Banana Oatmeal Smoothie. 2 whole bananas (best with brown flecks on peel), 2 cups ice, 1/3 cup yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt flavored with honey), 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal, 1/3 cup almonds. 380 calories. Great Snack Foods
If you are anything like my Pink Girl, I bet you are HUNGRY when you get home from school! When you have a snack after school, what do you choose? Sometimes my Pink Girl has greek yogurt with granola or an apple with almond butter. She really likes fruit smoothies! A Pink Girl ALWAYS makes awesome choices for after school snacks...what's your favorite snack? Here are a couple more ideas:
How about cherry tomatoes with basil and fresh mozzerella cheese-everything tastes better on a stick, right?!?!!
I LOVE the beautiful colors on a plate....they are so pretty and fun to eat color by color :)
How about a delicious sweet potato with some of your fav veggies on it? Make your mama proud & EAT YOUR VEGGIES! :)

Today my post is on "favorite places"... Where do you go when you need to clear your head? Do you have a place that you can go to improve yourself? A special place where you can figure things out? It is important to have this place for yourself. It can be your bedroom. It can be outside in the grass. It can be in a tent you have built in your living room. Find a special place today where you feel safe and happy. Find and make your own mini retreat. Create your favorite place. I even have pictures of what I would like my favorite place to look like. Happy Sunday! Start your week off right! Do a little bit of your go-to-guide today. Get outside and play. Drink lots of water. Follow your bliss today. What exactly does finding your BLISS mean? I think it means asking yourself "What do you love to do?" What makes you excited to get out of bed in the morning and keep you up late at night? Do you find yourself painting? Designing clothes? Doing make up and hair? Doing yoga or cooking? Finding your bliss means doing whatever it is in this moment that truly makes you happy. Water in the Winter
Sometimes in the winter, it's harder to drink water, isn't it. It's not like summer when you come in from playing outside and you're hot and a tall glass of ice cold water sounds good! Well, here I am writing to you this morning and I decided to have a hot cup of water with some lemon squeezed into it. You can even add a little bit of honey to your water, if the lemon is too sour for you. Have your grocery-shopping parent look for meyer lemons. They are a special kind of lemon that aren't as sour and have a sweeter, smoother flavor! That's what I have in my cup of hot water today--it's yum-o! This is an easy way to drink your water and stay warm--all at the same time! :)

How are the Visual Goals going?
How is the kickoff to your new year? Did you set some goals and work on your visual journal?Here are some example of my goals and pictures on my visual board. I can't wait to see yours!

Goal 3. Eat healthy. I put a healthy Tupperware container in my refrigerator so that when I opened the refrigerator the healthy stuff was ready and caught my eye. It has made me eat more fruits and vegetables. I put Natural peanut butter, Greek yogurt, blueberries, carrots, grapes, and mozzarella cheese sticks in mine.

New Year! New You!
Happy New Year! It is the time of year to make changes and goals. Have you made your New Year Resolution yet? First of all we have to get a clear picture on what we want. Get out a new journal or start a new go-to-guide and decorate a page in words and pictures of what your goals look like. Maybe you want to start Yoga or take Karate lessons. Maybe start a new hobby or meet a new friend. Whatever it is you want you first need to get a clear picture of exactly in detail what you are wanting. A fun way to visualize what you like is to set up a picture board on www.pinterest.com. It Is fun to see pictures of what you would like to do and who you would like to become. Remember - what you think about comes about.
